Knot Tying Game: Camper's Challenge played 230224Ī nerdy thing to say but I really do like learning different knots & I was excited for this. Mechanic is a bit simplistic but this should be a must-try for anyone with younger players and/or simply to increase your women's history knowledge. Theme, art, components & intent of the game are great. Great components, tons of dice & a great variety/replayability due to card & track setup. An insert seems unnecessary but I also don’t like the concept of a small storage solution for components with the board and/or rulebook somewhere else. As is typical, the box size was selected purely to fit the board & there is a ton of dead space. Super simple teach & mechanic with a touch of strategy. It could be reskinned as any number of things to avoid history keeping people away from the gameplay. A super simple & relatively quick dice game.Ĭatherine: The Cities of the Tsarina played 230308 OUR FINAL GAME!! Laurie used to play Bunco as a child with her great aunts & her grammy used to go to Bunco parties. Definitely one of Laurie’s all-time favorites. I look forward to more sessions in the future!Ī classic & always a blast to get to the table. I keep liking this game more & more with each play too! In my first game, I didn’t even manage to get to zero points but I redeemed myself with my all-time high score of 29 during the second game! The solo seems a bit quick but it enforces the need to be efficient with plays. This was my first time playing solo & I really enjoyed it. I had the day off for Presidents’ Day & took advantage by getting a couple of solo games in. And, per our usual arrangement, we let Jordan win the remaining games of Cubitos (2x) & Scattergories. We played through the next chapter of My City: The Flood. Laurie had a great showing by winning Balderdash, HerStory & Octopus's Garden. Aside from that, Bernie started out the day by winning a session of Lost Ruins of Arnak with Lost Ruins of Arnak: Expedition Leaders. Monthly game night with Jornadette 230304:Īs is usual, I lost. This blog will cover the last few entries and a summary of the challenge. Despite numerous new acquisitions over that time (and quite a few sales/trades), we’re well ahead of schedule. Well, we’ve done it! We started this (crazy but fun) concept last July 17th to play thru our entire collection in one year. ![]()
